Dan Martz is a graduate of Portage Central High School and Spring Arbor University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and a minor in Mathematics. Starting in 1979 as a Superintendent for Four Seasons Builders, Dan worked 18 years managing all phases of the building business. In 1996 Dan established Martz Home Builders L.L.C where he is principle owner and operator. Dan is a Licensed Realtor Associate with Evenboer-Walton Realtors. He is also a Licensed Builder in the state of Michigan, as well as a Certified Green Professional. As a member of the Home Builders Association of Western Michigan, Dan has received the honor of the 2010 and 2019 Builder of the Year award. He also served as Treasurer in 2010, Vice President in 2011 and President in 2012 of the Board of Directors. During the 2004 Parade of Homes, Martz Home Builders was recognized by the Home Builders Association of Kalamazoo, with the Award of Excellence for Best Overall Affordable Home under $135,000 (w/ out lot). In addition, he was awarded a “Gold Rating”. In the 2008 and 2010 Parade his homes were recognized with an Award of Excellence in the Green Built Category. Also in 2010 and 2013 Martz Home Builders received an Award of Excellence for Curb Appeal and Landscaping Elements. Our 2014 & 2015 Parade Homes were both Green Built Gold Rating as well as Award of Excellence for “Best Energy Efficient Home up to $350,000”.
